Heroes, assassins, warriors and rogues descend on LEGEND in October, with thirteen channel premieres, including Xavier Gens’ exuberant computer game adaptation HITMAN, sci-fi bad-ass action movie RIDDICK, starring Vin Diesel, historical action-adventure THE 13TH WARRIOR, based on Michael Crichton's 1976 novel Eaters of the Dead and Sylvester Stallone’s Veteran warrior John Rambo returns for one final battle as he seeks ferocious vengeance on a drug cartel targeting his family in the Channel premiere of RAMBO: LAST BLOOD.
Other favourite LEGEND action heroes are out for revenge this month, including Dwayne Johnson in FASTER, Craig Fairbrass in LONDON HEIST, Eric Roberts in HITMEN, Jackie Chan and Pierce Brosnan in THE FOREIGNER, and Jason Stratham in vault-breaking form in THE BANK JOB, a crime caper part based on the Baker Street Robbery.
Then there are vintage action classics including Western MACKENNA'S GOLD, starring Gregory Peck, political thriller IN THE LINE OF FIRE, starring Clint Eastwood, martial arts crime thriller THE REPLACEMENT KILLERS, and boat invasion action horror DEEP RISING.
Plus, CHARLIE'S ANGELS continues its popular run.

Let's start on the 2nd with a classic Western, MACKENNA'S GOLD, When a dying Apache chief gives him a map to the fabled Canon Del Oro (a legendary valley of gold) Marshal Sam Mackenna (Gregory Peck) commits it to memory and burns it. Captured by the outlaw chief Colorado (Omar Sharif), Mackenna is forced to guide a party across the Arizona deserts to the treasure – a journey full of danger. It's action all the way on the 4th with the superb thriller HITMAN. Based on the top-selling, award-winning video game franchise, the HITMAN is a genetically engineered, elite assassin known as Agent 47 (Timothy Olyphant). His hallmarks are a lethal grace, unwavering precision, and resolute pride in his work. But even 47 couldn't anticipate a "random equation" in his life of exactitude: the unexpected stirrings of his conscience and the unfamiliar emotions aroused in him by a mysterious Russian woman (Olga Kurylenko). The following night we go FASTER with The Rock! For Driver (Dwayne Johnson), a 10-year sentence has made him stronger, not only fuelled by time, but also by a hunger to avenge the murder of his brother during the botched bank robbery that led to his own imprisonment. Now, on the day of his release from prison, he is hell-bent on reaping vengeance upon the four men responsible for his brother's murder.

We travel to the capitol on the 9th where there's some serious crime going down in LONDON HEIST. When Jack's father Alfie Cregan is brutally murdered and their money from the Heathrow airport heist stolen, Jack (Craig Fairbrass), his cousin Sammy and other gang members Eddie and Frank, realise there is more to the stolen money and Alfie's murder than meets the eye. Also stars James Cosmo, Steven Berkoff and Nick Moran. Crime of a very different kind o the 10th in THE REPLACEMENT KILLERS. Hired assassin John Lee (Chow Yun-Fat) is asked by his crime boss Terence Wei (Kenneth Tsang) to murder the young son of policeman Stan Zedkov (Michael Rooker). Lee has the boy in his sights, but his conscience gets the better of him, and he spares the child's life. However, his boss hires replacements to finish the task and kill John Lee. An icon's final adventure on the 11th in RAMBO: LAST BLOOD. Vietnam War veteran John Rambo (Sylvester Stallone) tries to find some semblance of peace by raising horses on a ranch in Arizona. He's also developed a special bond with a woman named Maria and her teenage granddaughter Gabriela. But when a vicious Mexican cartel kidnaps Gabriela, Rambo crosses the border on a bloody and personal quest to rescue her.

Jumping to the 16th we meet the HITMEN. Michael Hero (Eric Roberts) , a powerful CEO, seeks vengeance for the murder of his grandson by offering a one-million-dollar bounty for the assassination of his grandson's accidental killers, attracting the world's leading assassins to the task at hand. More UK crime thrills this time from The Stath, THE BANK JOB. Self-reformed petty criminal Terry Leather (Jason Statham) has become a struggling car dealer but takes the plunge into big crime when his ex-girlfriend, Martine (Saffron Burrows), turns up with an offer to pull off a lucrative bank heist. Soon he finds that there are other agendas at play, and powerful players who have designs on the vault's contents. An epic drama with Antonio Banderas on the 19th, THE 13TH WARRIOR. An exiled ambassador far from his homeland, Ahmed (Banderas) comes across a fierce band of warriors who are being attacked by ferocious creatures legendary for devouring all living things in their path. And when an old fortune-teller warns the combatants that they are doomed to failure without a 13th warrior, Ahmed is given no choice but to join their battle and help conquer the mysterious enemy.

More action on the 23rd with the welcome return of Jackie Chan in THE FOREIGNER. Ngoc Minh Quan (Chan), a London restaurateur, is in search of the names of politically motivated terrorists who are responsible for his daughter's death. He is forced into a cat- and-mouse conflict with an Irish government official (Pierce Brosnan), whose own past may hold clues to the identities of the elusive killer. Another legend comes to LEGEND this month, Vin Diesel stars in RIDDICK on the 25th. Left for dead on a sun-scorched planet, fugitive Riddick (Vin Diesel) fights for survival against alien predators. His only hope for escape is to activate an emergency beacon, but that brings with it a different problem: mercenaries. With time running out, Riddick realizes that neither group will leave without his head as trophy. One of Hollywood's last stars for the golden era brings one of his finest to LEGEND on the 26th, Clint Eastwood stars IN THE LINE OF FIRE. Frank Horrigan (Eastwood), is a veteran Secret Service agent haunted by his failure to protect John F. Kennedy from assassination. Thirty years later, he gets a chance to redeem himself when a psychopathic assassin (John Malkovich) threatens to kill the current president and take Horrigan with him. Last channel premiere of the month lands on the 31st, DEEP RISING. When a band of ruthless hijackers invade the world's most luxurious cruise ship, they're shocked to discover the passengers have mysteriously vanished. But that doesn't mean they are alone. Something terrifying is lurking just out of sight: a deadly force from the unexplored depths of the ocean that begins to snatch the horrified intruders one by one.
