November brings Steven Seagal action and a Brian De Palma masterpiece

By James Whittington, 28th October 2026
Pistol Whipped-1

November is a treat for fans of Hollywood action and martial arts icon Steven Seagal, as LEGEND presents Channel premieres for five of his films made between 2005 and 2008 – INTO THE SUN, SHADOW MAN, FLIGHT OF FURY, RENEGADE JUSTICE and PISTOL WHIPPED. Still on display is his trademark brutal martial arts style and his "untouchable" screen presence.

Also receiving its Channel premiere is CASUALTIES OF WAR, Brian De Palma's harrowing 1989 American war drama, celebrated for its emotional depth and unflinching look at the horrors of combat. It still stands as one of the most devastating, and intensely moral entries in the subgenre of Vietnam War cinema. Plus, there is also the Channel premiere of action comedy THE REUNION, starring Amy Smart and John Cena.

Let's kick-off November on Tuesday the 2nd with the first Steven Seagal channel premiere, INTO THE SUN where stars as Travis Hunter, a former CIA operative tasked with tracking down the killers of Tokyo's governor. Hunter, who was raised in Japan and possesses deep-rooted ties to the Yakuza underground, soon uncovers a massive, violent conspiracy that goes far beyond a political assassination. He's back on the 9th as Jack Foster in SHADOW MAN. Seagal is a retired CIA operative, who has been targeted to unknowingly act as a courier to smuggle a highly lethal, top-secret biological weapon out of the United States. Now he must navigate a deadly web of international espionage to rescue his kidnapped daughter. We change gear on the 15th for a war movie from Brian De Palma, CASUALTIES OF WAR. Eriksson (Michael J. Fox) is a recent arrival to Vietnam, a naive recruit in a squad of veterans. His loyalty to his hard-nosed sergeant, Meserve (Sean Penn), is sealed when he rescues Eriksson from certain death, but the bond is severely tested when he becomes an unwilling participant in the squad’s abduction of kidnap a young Vietnamese woman.

Flight of Fury-1

On the 16th we're back with Seagal in FLIGHT OF FURY. John Sands (Seagal) is released from prison and offered a clean record if he helps recover a stolen experimental stealth bomber. Teaming up with Capt. Richard Jannick (Mark Bazeley) in Afghanistan, John discovers the aircraft is held by terrorists who intend to launch an attack on the U.S. and Europe. Jumping to the 23rd he's back this time as Simon Ballester in RENEGADE JUSTICE. Max Ballester is a well-meaning street cop working in a high-crime neighbourhood when he is gunned down in a seemingly random, unsolved drive-by shooting. When his father, Simon Ballester (Seagal) - a dangerous, former government special ops agent, learns of the murder, he executes his own brutal brand of street justice to find his son's killer. THE REUNION on the 26th Following concerns the death of a wealthy, womanising father, whose siblings Sam (John Cena), Leo, and Douglas are brought together by their sister, Nina (Amy Smart). To their surprise, their father's will dictates that they cannot simply inherit his millions; instead, they must first go into business together as bail bondsmen. Our moth of Steven Seagal premieres ends on teh 30th with PISTOL WHIPPED. When Matt (Seagall), a down and out ex-cop gets a chance to settle his gambling debts, he takes it. What he doesn’t count on is the deadly game that he would be involved in. Meanwhile, Matt's love for his only daughter helps him battle one of his greatest enemies, alcoholism.

Terry Stone-2

Brutal Brit flick RISE OF THE FOOTSOLDIER: ORIGINS has its channel premiere on Friday at 11:10pm so we chatted to Terry Stone about the challenges of playing Tony Tucker and why he thinks this is the best film in the franchise.

LC: In RISE OF THE FOOTSOLDIER: ORIGINS, Tucker returns home from the Falklands War with severe PTSD. What was that like to emotionally explore?

TS: As an actor it was an interesting thing to play. It took me on a journey so when you see my character laughing a lot in the film it’s like a mask to hide all the shit that's going on in my head. It also explains how you can go from 1 - 10 in violence. Lots of Footsoldier fans didn’t know that Tony Tuck...
