LEGEND ushers in the new year with ten adrenaline-fuelled channel premieres, including Peter Weir's much acclaimed war drama GALLIPOLI, which solidified Mel Gibson’s stature as a leading man. Other well-known directors featured this month are The Fast and Furious helmer Rob Cohen with military science fiction action thriller STEALTH, Mike Figgis, who teams up with an outstanding Richard Gere for psychological crime thriller INTERNAL AFFAIRS, and Saturday Night Fever director John Badham, with American political thriller NICK OF TIME, starring Johnny Depp and Christopher Walken.
Other channel premieres include the box-office smash MECHANIC: RESURRECTION, the sequel to The Mechanic, starring Jason Statham, and submarine suspenser HUNTER KILLER, starring Gerard Butler and Gary Oldman. The magnificent Oldman pops up again in gangster drama LAWLESS, which also stars Shia LaBeouf, Tom Hardy, Mia Wasikowska, Jessica Chastain and Guy Pearce.
Then there is alien invasion thriller BATTLE LOS ANGELES, the darkly gripping Western THE LAST SON, starring Sam Worthington, Thomas Jane, and Heather Graham, and spy thriller SURVIVOR, starring Milla Jovovich, Pierce Brosnan and Roger Rees in his final film role.
Plus, CHARLIE'S ANGELS continues its popular run with the channel premiere of Season Five, weeknights at 6pm, from Friday 9th January, and THE TWILIGHT ZONE returns with the channel premiere of Season 4, Saturdays and Sundays at 8pm, from 3rd January.

Let's kick-off 2026 on the 3rd with a LEGEND fave starring in MECHANIC: RESURRECTION. Arthur Bishop (Jason Statham) returns as the Mechanic in the sequel to the 2011 blockbuster. When the deceitful actions of a cunning women (Jessica Alba) force him to return to the life he left behind, Bishop's life is once again in danger. Two young men (Mel Gibson and Mark Lee) are brought together in the Australian army in 1915 for a gripping drama on the 4th, GALLIPOLI . They cross continents and great oceans, climb pyramids and walk through the ancient sands of Egypt to join their regiment at the fateful battle of Gallipoli. We look to the skies on the 10th un STEALTH. In the near future, the Navy has developed a drone fighter jet piloted by a computer. On an aircraft carrier in the Pacific, three fliers have been chosen not only to pilot a new generation of stealth fighter-bombers, but also to “teach” the computer how to fly. But when the computer develops a mind of its own, the humans must stop it before it precipitates a nuclear war. Stars Josh Lucas, Jessica Biel and Jamie Foxx.

Cop crime drama on the 11th where we investigate INTERNAL AFFAIRS. Internal Affairs officer, Raymond Avila (Andy Garcia), investigates a seemingly model cop, Dennis Peck (Richard Gere), only to find that Peck is a master manipulator involved in corruption, murder, and a psychological game with Avila. We take a dive on the 17th in HUNTER KILLER. One of Johnny Depp's finest on the 18th, NICK OF TIME. Gene Watson (Depp) an accountant, is forced to get involved in an assassination plot to save his kidnapped daughter. The events of the film unfold minute by nail-biting minute as they would in real life. The cast also includes Christopher Walken as the main antagonist, Mr. Smith.

Witness the end of civilization unfold on the 24th, as hostile alien invaders attack the planet in BATTLE LOS ANGELES. As the world’s great cities fall, Los Angeles becomes the last stand for mankind in a battle no one expected. Now it's up to a Marine staff sergeant (Aaron Eckhart) and his platoon to draw a line in the sand as they take on an enemy unlike any they’ve ever encountered before. We go LAWLESS on the 25th which is set in Depression-era Franklin County, Virginia, the film tells the true story of the three Bondurant brothers - Forrest (Tom Hardy), Howard (Jason Clarke), and Jack (Shia LaBeouf), who run a successful moonshining and bootlegging business. But their operation is disrupted with the arrival of the sadistic and corrupt Special Deputy Charlie Rakes (Guy Pearce), sparking a violent conflict. A tale of vengeance on the 29th, THE LAST SON. Isaac LeMay (Sam Worthington) is a murderous outlaw cursed by a terrible prophecy, hunting down his offspring to prevent his own murder before targeting his son Cal (Colson Baker). With bounty hunters and the enigmatic U.S. officer Solomon (Jane) on their tail, all are set on a collision course. We end the month on 31st in the star-studded SURVIVOR. Kate Abbott (Milla Jovovich) is a newly appointed Foreign Service Officer at the American embassy in London, tasked with preventing terrorists from entering the United States. Her diligent work puts her in the line of fire, and she soon finds herself targeted by a ruthless international assassin known as "The Watchmaker" (Pierce Brosnan).
