LEGEND is firing on all action cylinders in September, presenting fifteen channel premieres, including the highly-rated serial killer thriller THE BONE COLLECTOR, starring Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie, the post-apocalyptic REIGN OF FIRE with Matthew McConaughey and Christian Bale, and Keanu Reeves and Denzel Washington starring in tech thriller CHAIN REACTION.
Sylvester Stallone’s famous portrayal of the PTSD-plagued John Rambo is given the full-bloodied treatment in the Channel premiere of RAMBO (2008), which Stallone directed and co-wrote. Another favourite action franchise, given a new interpretation, is CONAN THE BARBARIAN (2011) with Jason Momoa in the title role.
Other favourite LEGEND action heroes feature strongly this month, with Jean-Claude Van Damme out for revenge in KICKBOXER, Nicolas Cage on a hellish rampage in DRIVE ANGRY, Steven Seagal on the hunt in MARKED FOR DEATH, and Jason Statham in vengeful mood in WAR.
Plus, there is Western swashbuckler THE MASK OF ZORRO, superhero thriller PUSH, psychological thriller MAN ON A LEDGE, action comedy THE BOUNTY HUNTER, and gripping war dramas WE WERE SOLDIERS, and THE ALAMO.
Popular CHARLIE'S ANGELS continues, with Cheryl Ladd joining the cast for Season Two.
Here's everything you need to know:

Jean-Claude Van Damme gets the month off to an action-packed start on the 4th with the original KICKBOXER. When kickboxing champ Eric Sloane (Dennis Alexio) is crippled in the ring by the evil Tong Po, Eric's younger brother, Kurt (Van Damme), seeks vengeance. But if he's to vanquish Po, Kurt must first learn a martial art known as Muay-Thai. A futuristic fantasy on the 6th, there be dragons in REIGN OF FIRE. When workers in a London tunnelling project awaken a fire-breathing beast from centuries of slumber, all hell breaks loose. Twelve-year-old Quinn (Christian Bale) sees his mother, one of the workers, die trying to escape. Twenty years later as a fire chief, he tries to keep a group of refugees alive as fierce dragons dominating the skies. Also stars Matthew McConaughey. Fear his blade as a classic character gets an update on the 7th in THE MASK OF ZORRO. The original Zorro, Don Diego de la Vega (Anthony Hopkins), escapes from prison and trains a successor, Alejandro Murrieta (Antonio Banderas), to fight against the corrupt Don Rafael Montero, who has stolen de la Vega's daughter, Elena (Catherine Zeta-Jones). Montero plans to rob California of its gold, and the new Zorro must stop him.

A movie which will you keep you on the edge of your seat is on the 9th, MAN ON A LEDGE. Twenty storeys up, wanted fugitive Nick Cassidy (Sam Worthington) threatens suicide from a Manhattan rooftop. As hostage negotiator Lydia Mercer tries to talk him down, she discovers that Cassidy was convicted for his part in a multi million-dollar diamond robbery. Whilst Cassidy creates the ultimate distraction his brother and his feisty girlfriend are out to prove his innocence by committing a new crime. The pace changes gear on the 11th as Nic Cage stars in DRIVE ANGRY. Thrown into hell for his crimes, felon John Milton (Cage) escapes from the fiery pit after cultists murder his daughter and take her baby. Intent on rescuing the child, Milton joins forces with a waitress (Amber Heard), who gives him her ex-lover's fire-red muscle car. The two then pursue the cult leader, who plans to sacrifice the infant and unleash hell on Earth. Sylvester Stallone returns as his most famous character on the 13th in the brutal drama RAMBO (2018). Having long-since abandoned his life as a lethal soldier, John Rambo (Stallone) lives a solitary life near the Thai border. After guiding a missionary (Julie Benz) and her comrades into Burma, he gets an urgent call for help. The missionaries have not returned and Rambo sets out to rescue the captives from the Burmese army.

Action of a very different kind on the 14th in the critically acclaimed thriller THE BONE COLLECTOR. Policewoman Amelia Donaghy (Angelina Jolie) is in hot pursuit of a serial murderer whose calling card is a small shard of bone extracted from each of his victims. Unable to decipher the cryptic clues the killer leaves behind at the scene of the crime, Amelia calls upon quadriplegic forensic criminology expert Lincoln Rhyme (Denzel Washington) to help. One of Steven Seagal's finest on the 18th, MARKED FOR DEATH. After his partner dies, Drug Enforcement Agent John Hatcher (Seagal) returns to his hometown. But things there have changed for the worst. Jamaican drugs lords, led by a black magic high priest, have infiltrated the town. The thugs have met their match in Hatcher, though, and all the voodoo in the world won’t be enough to stop him. The fast paced action continues on the 19th in WAR. FBI agent Jack Crawford (Jason Statham) is obsessed with avenging the murder of his partner by the notorious assassin known only as Rogue (Jet Li). Jack’s persistence pays off but leads him into a war between rival Asian gangs. As Rogue manipulates the situation, Jack’s true colours and wrath come to life, and the true war is between good and evil.

American history comes to life in the superb war drama THE ALAMO. Billy Bob Thornton, Dennis Quaid and Jason Patric team up for the acclaimed action epic about one of the most important events in America's past. It's the heroic tale of the 200 brave men who made the ultimate sacrifice in the name of freedom defending a small Texas fort for 13 days against an entire army. CHAIN REACTION on the 21st focuses on a Chicago university where a research team, which includes brilliant Eddie Kasalivich (Keanu Reeves) have created a stable form of fusion which may lead to a waste-free energy source. However, Dr. Paul Shannon (Morgan Freeman) wants to exploit the technology, so Kasalivich and Dr. Lily Sinclair (Rachel Weisz) are framed for murder, and the fusion device is stolen. Sci-Fi fans need to be watching on the 23rd and be ready for PUSH. A young man and a teenage girl with extraordinary gifts take on a clandestine agency in a battle they can win only if they can change the future. Starring Chris Evans and Dakota Fanning Push combines the bold visual style of director Paul McGuigan (Lucky Number Slevin) with heart-pounding special effects and an unforgettable story.

Directed by Andy Tennant and starring Gerard Butler and Jennifer Aniston, THE BOUNTY HUNTER on the 25th focuses on a hunter who learns that his next target is his ex-wife, a reporter working on a murder cover-up. Soon after their reunion, the always-at-odds duo find themselves on a run-for-their-lives adventure to Las Vegas. A comic-book legend has a make-over on the 27th, CONAN THE BARBARIAN. Conan (Jason Momoa) carves a bloody path across the land of Hyboria, in an epic battle against evil. Conan's mortal enemy, Khalar Zym (Stephen Lang), seeks the legendary Mask of Acheron, which will enable Zym to raise his wife from the dead and achieve immortality for himself, but it will also unleash a malevolent force upon the land, and only Conan can stop it. WE WERE SOLDIERS on the 28th is based on the best-selling book about the battle of LZ X-Ray, written by Lieutenant General Harold G. Moore and civilian war correspondent Joseph L. Galloway. Both endured the brutal battle and vowed to tell the story of the men who fought and died there. Stars Mel Gibson.
